Disappointing set
Really wanted to like this set. Comes in a cardboard box. Minimal assembly is required, you just need to attatched the bbq to the tray and legs. It requires batteries which arent included, to give it the lights and sound. One of the hinges on the bbq was broken, so the lid just hangs making it want to tip over all the time and you cant close it properly. The whole set is brightly coloured plastic. Theres some sharp/rough edges to some of the food and cutlery, where it’s been poorly cast. Where the side pieces attatch that black plastic is really sharp and the corners are that sharp its unsafe. The food and cutlery is okay, it does look really cheap though. Really disappointed in it, whole things gone in the bin.

Complete and utter rubbish – Avoid
Utter rubbish. This is so cheap and flimsy mine arrived with a damaged lid and broken hinge. The BBQ toy is a little smaller than I was expecting but the build quality is really atrocious. The 4 legs all appear to be slightly different lengths so it wobbles more than my old nan does after a few sherries. The supposedly colour changing foods just slightly change colour in whatever small segment is exposed to the light rather than the whole thing changing so if your child is awaiting food to ‘cook’ properly then be prepared to wait all day. The sound is not overly loud but my god is it annoying and sounds absolutely nothing like a BBQ. It’s more like someone is persistently scrunching up a crisp bag right in your ear. I am not exaggerating when I say I literally threw the whole thing in the bin within 20 minutes of opening the box. My 4 year old son summed it up best when he simply stated “This toy is rubbish”. I can’t agree more. My advice would be to BBQ the cold hard cash you were planning to spend on this as no doubt it will last longer.

play bbq set
brilliant bbq toy set with sounds and food that changes colour good value for money

Pretty flimsy
First of all, the shops set is really smallSecondly it’s really flimsy even when all assembled and fell apart within minutes of being usedThirdly, the tools themselves are poorly made, with parts made of hard cheap plastic that will potentially crack and leave sharp edges when broken, whilst other parts are made (sensibly, for small kids) of more flexible plastic that will bend (as it should) under pressure.Don’t think it’s a long lasting toy

Not good quality
Ok this isn’t the best quality my nephew had fun and we wouldn’t let him be unsupervised just incase something broke off but the quality isn’t that great which is a shame and because it is mini it is more suited to younger kids, just expected alot more and its a let down if the quality was better then this would be great, it’s just one of those price reflects product and even the price is to generous

Safe fun toy
This makes him feel like he’s part of the action as he pretends to serve up fake food to us all. Keeps him occupied in the garden. Cheap, price for the amount of fun he’s having. The toy is safe with no nasty edges a nd made from non toxic plastics. A great summer garden toy that’s easy to put together

Role playing
My daughter has a wooden wendy house and this is perfect with extending her role playing. My daughter has a toy kitchen etc but this is the first time i have seen a toy bbq.Really easy to set up and when i say easy my 6 year old daughter was able to build this with little help from myself. The bbq itself comes with play food and tool all of which are like a really bbq.Very easy to store away after use as all of the items fit within the bbq ready for use another day.The bbq has lighting and sound affects which my daughter thinks is amazing.

Good plastic toy
I really didn’t expect what I bought to be as good as what I received- I expected it to be cheap and tatty being that this item was sold by a Chinese seller here on Amazon- I was very pleasantly surprised!!My little boy loved this item- it was easy to assemble, is a decent size when built- it came with batteries so that made it even better. The BBQ comes with a few condiments, salt and pepper, BBQ tools and the BBQ food. And the food actually changes colour on the BBQ so my 4 year old son thought this was really nice!In order for the food to change colour it does have to be over the top of the lights- otherwise it doesn’t change- but it’s a brilliant feature!

Quite small
Quite small but the price reflects this. It’s fun for children to pretend to bbq like a grown up.

Decent for the price
It’s not the best quality but I feel the price reflects this. It is however still a very fun toy and my daughter loves it

Keeps the little ones entertained! 👌🏻
Lovely little roleplay bbq toy for kids. This keeps my 3 year old daughter highly active and occupied for some time 👌🏻this was very easy to assemble and use. This has lots of pieces and flashing lights and sounds too! Really lovely toy set and very entertaining to watch as well as play with 😜. Good value for money and would recommend.

My son loves his.
Got this for my son and he loves it. This is perfect for those who don’t have loads of storage space for toys as it compacts down really small which is impressive for how much comes with it. All in one set. I gave it a four stars as it is plastic so sturdiness isn’t strong but hours worth of play and fun. Gets there imagination going. Not bad for the price. Would recommend.

For tiny tiny people
1st off the wheel barrel is tiny. Now its a superb way to get your kids engage and hopefully lending a helping hand in the garden. Comes with the tools needed. The spray is by far the kiddies favourite. Great product for children and families in general. Follow me on here daily reviews and/or answering questions on the products reviewed

Not high quality
This is a miniature BBQ set for children. It isn’t full height so the child would need to be sitting or kneeling to use. It is quite a cheap looking thing, not designed to last. The light and sounds are fun and the pretend food looks like the standard plastic stuff you get. However, for the price I think you get what you pay for. I was going to give it 2 stars, but then realised our son can use it outside in the garden to “BBQ” along with Daddy. It probably won’t last more than one summer, but worth a go.I personally would prefer to spend more money on something that will last. However, it brings some entertainment and that’s worth something.

Grilling fun.
A fantastic children’s toy.a wonderful replica of a real barbecue.it comes with a rigid stand structure, plus lid, cooking implements, a sauce bottle, plate, two sets of cutlery which are perfectly safe. One of the two forks was missing from the one we received, so check against the packaging contents diagram. You also get some replica food to play with. It just looks like so much fun.The barbecue lights up and also has a grilling sound effect, which seems to be at one volume setting. It’s not brain shatteringly loud, so don’t worry about that too much! It takes 3 AA batteries which are not included. Our granddaughter is going to love this when she comes around to our house. It does dismantle in between times, to save a bit of space. It looks like really good value for the money.

Realistic play and pretend bbq
Realistic pretend play bbq that would make a great present for any celebrating kid.We love having bbq and we try as much as possible to enjoy our time outside in the garden having bbqs.My son who loves to play and pretend ,has lately got the idea of having a bbq so this set is perfect for him as he can have it next to us to play and pretend he is doing his own bbq.I was surprised about the variety of the utensils, sauce containers and food types the set came with.It takes Aaa batteries(not included ) so the bbq lights up as cooking mode .The bbq makes even cooking sounds and if the meat toys are placed on the “fire” they will change colour ,as with the real cooking. The down side of this bbq is that is quite short .Also the cover lid of the bbq it does not close filmily and it seems defective :/ which it can be just mine one.Other than that ,this set is a realistic bbq play and pretend toy and if your little one love to cook ,this is a good option to consider.

BBQ summer fun
I got this as a joke, my family had a bbq without me the other day and I said I would just have my own. Little did they know it would be a play one. But what a great play one it is. Perfect for teaching kids the idea behind cooking. The “meat” actually changes colour so more realistic. It comes with everything you would need at a real bbq from kitchen tools, meat and even sauce. The lights even turn on and it makes sound. Personally, I think it is a little noisy so perfect for outside but will be fun for them to have their own BBQ party when the adults are cooking. The item is priced at £15.99, it is a little flimsy but should get a good bit of play from it. Initially when assembled I thought I was missing a pin, but it was stuck on the tape from packaging, quickly resolved and a happy camper. It is powered by 3 x AA batteries.

Great BBQ toy but quality could be better
This BBQ toy has everything your little one needs to have their own pretend BBQ. It is quite short though so your little one will have to sit down to play with it which I thought was odd. On the box it suggests that the meat changes colour once you switch the BBQ on but ours does not do this, so either we have received a faulty one or it shouldn’t be on the box. This aside, the replica food is great fun and my son really enjoys playing with it. The lights are a dark purple colour rather than orange for fire and the sound effects are just the same one over and over again, but not too loud so bearable for us adults! It is quite flimsy and falls over a lot which is a shame as my 3 year old gets annoyed when it does this and I can imagine it will frustrate others the same sort of age! A great idea with lots of play value, but could do with being better quality.

Really fun barbecue set with a cooking effect
This is a really nice set that is a bit cheap and cheerful, but it is such good fun and the ‘cooking’ is a great idea that we hadn’t seen before but adds a really fun dimension to this kind of pretend play. The set comes with some light assembly, you need to put the legs on and the side pieces for holding tools but that is really easy, you also need to insert three AA batteries which is quite a bit but I was honestly expecting more so that is quite good. The set comes with a lot of different play accessories, there is a good variety of food items, cutlery, cooking utensils and plates, plenty of things for two people to have a good barbecue together. All of the accessories are quite well made, the chips although come in a flimsy cardboard sleeve to make them look like they are from a fast food chain but that fell apart instantly when our son got planning with it.The barbecue itself is a bit short for the age range this is aimed at, this is intended for children over four but our two and a half year old is already a tiny bit too tall to comfortably use the barbecue, so if you have something to set the barbecue on that might be helpful. Inside of the barbecue is a fake charcoal surface which looks pretty good and this has two rows for four LEDs which I believe is emitting ultraviolet light which is what causes the cooking effect on the meat, this is really cool and a lot of fun to experiment with. Unfortunately though only three of the included pieces of food use this effect, it would have been nice to have it with more of them. There are two controls on the barbecue, one to turn it on and the other which clicks as you twist it to sound like a starter on a gas barbecue. When the barbecue is running it makes this noise that sounds like a mechanical grinding or something, it is really not a nice sound and is constant so it would be nice if there was an option to turn it off or at least reduce the volume, it would be great if the twisting dial on the front controlled the volume so it could be turned down and gives that control more use too.

Impressed!

I’m pleasantly surprised with this little BBQ set, it was nice and easy to set up although plastic as you’d expect. It’s not overly flimsy, a bit lightweight and has fallen a few kids with the clumsy kids man handling it but it’s not fallen apart from it.You receive quite a few different fake foods, cutlery, grilling tools and plates. A couple of these food items sit on the lights from the bbq and cleverly change colour so it continues to entertain the kids with its magical cooking abilities! It makes grilling noises also at the push of a button (along with the lights) and a little dial which I don’t think does anything but turn (for the imagination)I think it’s brilliant, not a bad price at all for what you get and it’s certainly kept my children busy!

Made a little girl very happy!

Cute little barbecue that can be used with or without the legs attached. It takes 3 AA batteries that operate the lights on the barbecue and gives a rather loud sizzling sound. The barbecue comes with bbq utensils, cutlery, plates, sauce bottle and food. The burger, sausages and bacon change colour when placed over the lit area so it looks like they’re cooking. This isn’t the strongest toy I’ve ever seen but for £15.99 I wouldn’t expect it to be. Having said that it fit together easily and it was sturdy enough to survive a 2 year old playing with it for 2 days. My brother might sill be hearing the sounds for weeks to come though! We received everything that the box states is there, and I was able to remove it from the box without damaging the box. My brother left it built up and used the box for the accessories. It’s not large so it’s no problem leaving it made up. The only issue with ours was one of the spindles for the lid was in the box loose. It went back in fine but they were going to come out easily. My brother has already replaced them with a long spindle he had in his toy making kit and glued it in.My brother has found it to be a great little toy for his 2 and half year old granddaughter, she already had a wooden barbecue set there but this one has sounds and food that ‘cooks’! She ended up using both together and they kept her entertained for the 2 days she’s been visiting. She’s very careful with her toys so he’s not concerned about durability. He placed it on the decking with the legs on so it was the perfect height for her, then she used it indoors without the legs. For the price it’s a decent toy and it’s amused both child and grandfather!

Do not buy
Very flimsy. As soon as you open the lid in the bbq it falls over. Broken after a few hours of using. Absolutely terrible. Would not recommend this at all. Complete waste of money. Would have returned but forgot we had it until we sorted the loft out before xmas

Bought for a mini me as a gift
Bought as an Xmas gift for a neighbours child who watches Daddy use the real thing several times a week in the summer. Not put together as needs to be left in the box for wrapping. Arrived well packed and on time.

Poor
The top cover was missing a metal bar so it does not open and close properly. In fact the cover came off after opening it 3 times.

Childs BBQ
It is for a very small child and is not as big as appears in the photo. Made from cheap plastic I don not think it is worth the money! Better to pay a bit more for a better quality toy

Toy bbq set
Arrives in a box that tells you to keep the box as it has important information- impossible to open the box without tearing it.Easy to assemble, although the lid was broken and the screws wouldn’t fit back in.It’s tiny once assembled and the flimsiest, cheapest looking toy. The “pretend” food is most definitely pretend! Won’t be mistaking it for anything real.Doubt it will last a week. Not worth the money and would not recommend!
