Great Role Play
My brother is a joiner and my son idolises him and wants to copy everything he does which is a worry when I am doing DIY as he immediately tried to grab any tools being used.Thankfully this little set was the perfect solution. Now he can potter about with his own little tools without the worry of a hammer through the TV.The set is lightweight durable plastic with a nice selection of tools and fixtures. The high vis vest is nice quality and can barely get my son to take it off. I found the hard hat to be a bit shallow but it’s not too bad.Overall it’s a great role play solution for budding joiners!

Pretend construction play set
This is a great little set for any little builders. My 2 year old just started to be interested in Bob the Builder so this set is just perfect. He can wear his little hard hat and carry his tools around. He does not play with the toys unattended though and they are recommend for toddlers 3 years and older. He has everything in the set that he requires for his age for sure and loves playing with it.The tool set is made out of thick plastic and seems really durable. Colours are appealing to our boy.We can recommend this pretend construction set as our boy really likes playing with it and it’s well made.

Decent little kit, overall a good standard
Overall a nice little kit. Although it is very plasticky, majority of the pieces are well made. The hammer is more delicate than the other pieces. It seems to be made from a different strength of plastic. It seems a bit thinner and less robust. But unless your child really tries hard to break it, it should be alright. The actual toolbox is rather strong. I was impressed. The screws and bolts work really well, they screw through the pretend lengths of wood. The pliers have a good amount of flex. I mean my kid has been using it to try and tighten things, so actually grips things with it. And using hand strength to close it I can see the plastic flex. That’s good, as it isn’t the easily breakable, brittle plastic. The drill works well, and four year old fingers can easily press the trigger to power it round. The high vis has been made well.

A nice toolset for kids.
Kids really like to copy adults, so toys like this are always popular. This set concentrates on the handy man’s toolset. It has all the general tools but all are safe for kids to play with. Once they have a set like this it’s so easy to teach them that this is their toolbox and the real one is daddy’s. It all arrives nicely packed mainly with vacuum-formed plastic. The yellow handle of the toolbox has to be removed to unpack it all. The handle simply clips off, so it’s not too much of a problem. The hard hat and the hi-vis vest are separate. Most of the tools work of a fashion. The electric drill spins when the trigger is pulled. The pliers and shifting spanner work as expected. Even the G-clamp works! None of them are strong enough to work in reality so there’s no chance of finding all your kitchen cabinets disassembled by an enthusiastic kid.The general quality is fair. The plastic is fairly malleable so it shouldn’t crack and splinter.Overall, a nice toolset for kids. Hope that helps.

Cheap and cheerful
At under £14 this play tool set is lightweight, all plastic but has some realistic actions. The set we received (packaged in moulded plastic and a net bag) was not as described on the product page online. For example the drill is manual press to make it rotate not battery operated, there are only two small pieces of “wood” to practise on , no dust mask and no storybook as advertised. The toolcase handle can be removed to use as a measure but the cm/inches markings are embossed yellow on yellow so impossible to read, a separate measure would have been better.Having said that the tools are fine for pottering around the house pretending to fix things without doing damage to child or house: the spanner and screwdrivers work, the pliers and vice grip gently, the nuts and bolts unscrew, the hi-vis jacket has useful pockets and it all fits into a carry toolbox (except the hat which falls off all the time, no chinstrap).

My kids play with this tool toy all day long. And the quality is perfect, there is no any plastic smell, and there are few combination of the toys the kids can play with. It is really good for practising their hands, eyes and concentration. Good to have it.

A bit hit.
My little son, 2, loves to help his Uncle Fred with jobs and now he can without risking injury on sharp blades etc. He really is learning how to use the different kinds of tools. They are reasonable quality and quite lightweight. So they will not cause damage when he insists on hammering the furniture or the dog.

Comes in a little tool box
What a great idea! Takes imagination play to the next level. I was very impressed with this extensive kit. It all come held in a little tool box for authenticity which is actually really handy for storage too. There’s a hard hat, safety goggles and little “high vis” vest for child to wear when playing as well as many different types of tools including a hammer, drill, pliers, screw driver then some drill bits etc. The top of the tool box is a ruler which just adds to the thought gone into the design. Very pleased, would definitely recommend!

They are both perfect for little gifts for the kids. The set comes with a an assortment of plastic, but realistic tools, ie. drill, pliers, G clamp etc, googles, hard hat and a little hi vis jacket. It can all be stored in the included tool chest. Lovely set
Its a lovely set and my nephew loves it but the drill has broken straight away and he’s only 2 so its not like he’s heavy handed. The hat is shallow so doesn’t stay on his head but he does enjoy wearing the vest and playing with the tools

A reasonable quality DIY tool play set for children to join in doing their thing.
The JoyKip Kids Pretend Construction Tool Kit set With Drill arrives in a net bag and the content is visible. Of course all the items are plastic and meant for children. Our 3 year old grand-daughter always wants to be involved if there is any DIY jobs being done and she like to be part of the action and what is happening. This set was given to our 3 year old grand-daughter and she loves it. The toy tools are really good and it add to imaginative play in helping in whatever is going on. Given the reasonable quality of the set and the asking price this was considered to be of good value for what you will get.

Hours of fun.
My little boy loves this set and hasn’t stopped playing with it since I have him it on his birthday last week. The jacket fits him with plenty of growing space so should last himna couple of years (hes 2). The helmet doesn’t stay on very well but it doesn’t stop him from wearing it, i think it would probably fit an older child better. The tool box is perfect because it fits everything in and is easy for him to use at his age. He even loves to wear the safety goggles which I didnt think he would like putting on. Its a great set for imaginative play and role play. The variety of tools and bolts is good and everything is big enough that I’m not worried about chocking hazards. Its a well made sturdy little set and my little boy has had hours of fun with it everyday so I would highly recommend it.

Cheap plastic but good set of DIY tools
Cheap plastic builders set. Although the quality lets it down it’s a good set that has a great amount of bits and all fits neatly in a kid’s plastic tool box. My 4 year old loves the set and alway like using it for mending broken toys and to mimic his dad when he’s doing any DIY.
The Third Proclaimer –
Fun little toolkit for kids!
The toolbox holds everything you need even with a measurement on the handle. The joykip kids pretend constructions has every kids would want from a real toolbox. The quality is more like a plastic but solid, my son loves the drill because its almost as real which spins when the trigger is pulled. There is a vest provided which was little big for him but not an issue. Got everything you need for your little handyman.

Its OK, a bit cheap and cheerful but the helmet is really cheap and thin
A nice little set that I’m sure kids will like but personally I found it a bit cheap and plasticy. The biggest problem is the helmet which really is very, cheap and thin (literally no thicker than a yogurt pot) which if stood on will snap.I hope you found this helpful. Please let me know if you did. 😊

Just like dad!
As a pocket money stocking filler, this 17 piece tool kit includes everything a two year old could ever need to be ‘like dad’. The drill even makes a sound like a real one (sort of). Okay, the reason why it’s cheap and cheerful is that in the hands of a budding builder that age, none of it will last very long, which isn’t such a bad thing, as everything here helps with hand/eye co-ordination, which will encourage the user to move on to something else. And that’s the idea. To assist the little ones to move onto the next level of learning.

A nicer storage box would make this set even better
This is a fairly cute little DIY set for young children. I ordered it through Vine, as I wanted to pass it on to one of my friends, for her young son. The first thing which struck me was that it only came in a bit of netting, rather than in a nice storage box. Having gotten this through Vine, for me this isn’t too much of an issue, but if I had purchased this, I would have been a little disappointed.

Great for toddlers

This is such a cool tool kit! Ny son is two is obsessed with daddys tools so we got him his own, the drill turns and makes look like its drilling comes with hard hat and protective glasses, tbe hat had no secure in place string so we made our own 😁 for those who also hadn’t noticed the handle to the tool box is actually a ruler too!! Very cleverVery good price, excellent present 🎁
