The “playmat” is more of a back drop than a playmat. It’s made of a thin felt fabric which would bobble in the wash. The print is good though.The animals are plastic, they aren’t terrible quality, but as mentioned in previous reviews the sizing isn’t right. The paint job on them is also terrible (see pictures)The scenery provided is some trees and rocks. But they are palm trees so not really farm scenery. They are also thin cheap plastic so do not stand alone. 4 fence panels are provided that link together. With the size though you could only make one pen for one animal.So as a farm set this is a bit rubbish however – The animals are perfect for story sacks though there’s 2 goats so “squash and a squeeze” and “duck in a truck” can be made from this set, you just need a frog and a truck and jeep! So that’s why it got some extra stars!

This set is great, has good size animals, my daughter puts things in her mouth a lot so the size is worrying when ordering things like this, these are a good size though and dont worry me on the choking hazard issue at all.the mat is thin and cheap but thats ok for the price.

A strange selection of animals!
I felt the product was mostly as expected from a cheaper brand and most of the farm animals were fine BUT we were very surprised by the giant rabbit, chicken and rooster…larger than the cow and the horse…totally out of proportion. Disappointing because they just don’t work as a set of animals for a small child. Puzzling!!!

Massive animals
Item bought as a gift. Animals are all very sturdy. Perfect for small hands, but scale?? I wondered if the rabbit and the chickens had come from a lab from somewhere….they are larger than the cow! That said I am sure the children will enjoy the set and there’s no risk of any one ingesting small parts that’s for sure!

Animal size out of proportion
The animals are out of proportion but my 3 year old granddaughter found this funny, the rabbit and the chicken was massive 4 times bigger than the dog, she still enjoyed playing with them nevertheless

Great set
I received this set for a review. Before I could even take a picture of the box, my 3 year old grandaughter had found it and opened it.I saw the current selling price if £9.99 including delivery and thought these were going to be small little animals that would fit into the palm of your hand,but no I was really surprised at how big they are.My grandaughters favourite was the goose which she said was Mother Goose. There are a really goid selection of farmyard animals in the box with a floor mat to help set the scene as well.For under £10 I think this is an excellent gift for a child.

Great for animal lovers
This is brilliant for children who love their animals as there are a whole selection of different farm animals trees and fences.It comes with a play mat with a picture of a farm scenery to put the animals on.They are a good size. It’s recommended for children age 3 years +I definitely recommend this item 👍🏻

Educational and fun
I received this farm toys set as part of the Amazon Vine programme. In return for a fair and honest review.The first thing I noticed about this set was the size of the animals. They are bigger than I thought they would be but that’s actually a GOOD thing for me as it means the animals are closer to being more life like and also a much less likely choking hazard. It also makes them more fun to play with.The mat is 32.5″ x 27.5″ so it’s not quite square and is a good size so a couple of kids can play with the set at the same time without too much trouble.Overall, a nice little set that can be educational and fun!

Cheap and cheerful farm animal set.
These went down very well with a nursery class. They loved the mat and variety of animals included. The play mat is a nice bonus. The included fence for a setting up detail is NEVER going to stand up. The animals do look and feel cheap but the kids do not care at all. The animals are a slightly odd mix and the sizing is all over the place. The goose is as big as the alpaca and even bigger than the pig for example. Still, a good top up for our plastic animals set just perhaps but great as a standalone farm set. It did promote some interesting questions and chat though!

I ordered this farm animal set and received it free of charge in exchange of an honest personal review..THE GOOD BITS-My 3 year old granddaughter loved playing with the farm animals and liked the play mat that’s included.-There were several rocks, 2 trees and some fencing included so could change the scenery around.-There was a good selection of animals includedQuality was quite good – colours were brightNo sharp edges on any of the animalsTHE “NOT SO WELL THOUGHT OUT” BITS-The animals are totally not in scale with each other-The rabbit is at least 3 times bigger than the pig and cow-The dog is bigger than the pig-The chicken is bigger than the pig, cow and dog-They look like a collection of animals from different sets you would never have thought they were sold as a set together.As it’s Halloween my granddaughter explained the sizes away by saying the naughty witch made this animal smaller or this animal bigger – which is one way of looking at it but if I have purchased this I would have been very disappointed that the animals are so out of scale with each other it just doesn’t make any sense.-The trees and rocks were very poor quality plastic-I threw 3 of the rocks away as they were small and the size was a choking hazard,For the above reasons I believe this is a 3 star product

Priced at £12.99- this is fairly priced for a farm animal toy set 🥰I got this for my four year old who loves animals and he was very pleased with this. Loads of different animals, nice farm mat and overall quite fun to play with! He really enjoyed playing with this and it kept him occupied for ages ( a win for me 😉) overall great toys. Would recommend.

Good set…but needs to be better sized…
I was offered this farm set in return for my honest review….This set priced at £13.99 and if your little ones enjoy playing with these set of farm animals then this is good value….So this set consists of a thin foam mat….quite colourful….Trees….fence….rocks and of course farm animals….12 different coloured animals all really well made…all very strong durable plastic….So far so good ….then we look at the animals…You have a hare as big as a donkey…..a swan as big as a cow…a rooster bigger than a goat….and so on…So although these are a nice size for little hands… I think these should have been made more realistic to size….The fence doesn’t even cover the lama’s legs….

Animal scale size is really off but good for learning while playing
Each animal is well made, they are clear which one it’s meant to be. They are solid, very durable. Theirs good range of animals each one well finished with no rough edges, small which seems to appeal to the children as they can be lifted & played with well, the farm animals come with a small playmat to place them on along with rocks, palm trees & boulder. The animals are not to scale as the roaster is larger than the cow & the rabbit near the same size of the goat. Set is good for playing, learning & educational.

Solid Plastic Animals
A set of various hard plastic animals along with some fencing and trees, great fun for little ones to play with and being solid plastic they are less likely to get broken, but although these are intended as a stocking filler for my 3 year old granddaughter I can’t help thinking going on other small toys like this she has had that we are going to find them scattered all over the house and treading on a plastic chicken with bare feet looks painful.This set is though great for there imagination’s and I can see hours of fun until granddad steps on that chicken.

Lots for your money but not perfect
As Christmas draws closer you maybe looking for stocking fillers for young children. My grandson loves visiting petting zoos so I thought this Farm Animal Set would be great for him. It does offer great value for money as you get a foldout playmate, with a wide selection of farm yard animals and a few rocks and boulder and “palm trees” ?, to set the scene. Unfortunately the quality of the mouldings, and plastics leaves a little to be desired. The trees and rocks are very flimsy plastic, and break easily, while the animals are very hard and poorly modded, with sharp edges especially ears, and horns that could harm a small child. The animals are not to scale, and some of them would not stand up as the legs where bent out of alignment. You get a lot for your money but sometimes you do only get what you pay for.

4.5* Farmyard playmat set.I was sent this in return for my honest opinion on it.This is an adorable little set. I will say, the mat isn’t the most amazing thing, it is pretty basic but it has a cute little farmyard design on it, it’s nice and soft, it just works better when flattened. This mat is roughly 70cm x 77cm.The animals are better than expected, bigger than I thought they would be too. I like the sizes, as it means no choking hazards. They’re each nice and thick, sturdy, stand well by themselves. They seem durable too.You get a good range of animals, as well as some bits of scenery like rocks, trees, fencing which fits together and what looks like a gated entrance.The animals you get are -• Alpaca• Chicken• Rooster• Goat• Goat• Dog• Sheep• Swan• Cow• Pig• Horse that I thought was a donkey• RabbitNow this isn’t the end of the world but I thought it would be better with a sheep dog, rather than your average dog, like I said not the end of the world though.I would recommend this set. I think it’s better than I thought it would be. I like the size of the animals and the assortment.

They are really good quality and well made. My little one loves playing with them. They are all hard plastic and not easily broken. It comes with 8 animals, palm trees, fences, rocks and a cage door.

Caught our grand daughters attention – she loved it
As we opened this box in front of our grand daughter she was immediately engaged. It didn’t matter to her that the animals were not to scale and she was thrilled with the rocks and trees even though we had second thoughts about their suitability as they were not as sturdy as the animals. The play mat was a useful reference to what animals went where and compare animals on the mat to the models. Good starting point for an animal loving youngster just beginning to mimic their noises !!

In this set you get 12 different farm animals (one of each), with a few trees, rocks and the scene mat. The animals are about 3 to 6 inch in length. They have nice colours with nice details. They are not quite in the correct ratio but it’s understandable or the smaller animals like rabbits will be too small.These animals are well selected without any nonsense. Great for little children to learn the names of the animals. The quiality of the trees weren’t the best but they are mainly for decoration.

Great value for money but definitely a stretch to call these “realistic”
This farm animal set is a great stocking filler or gift for a little one. It arrived packaged nicely in a cardboard box. Inside was the mat along with all the different farm animals and some scenery pieces. The animals are all big in size and have some nice patterned colouring. They’re not super realistic despite the claim due to the sizes, but as close to what you’d expect at this price in terms of looks if you isolate each animal. They’re big chunky animals which means no worries of loose or small pieces. The 2 downsides I found was the scale of the animals were well off. You’re seeing huge chickens and a small dog. That said, if you don’t care about that it’s not really much of an issue. There are some visible join lines on the animals but again, I don’t expect these to be amazing quality given the price. It’s a good value farm animal set with some big sturdy animals which I can’t complain about.

Nice selection of animals, but a big difference in sizing!
This is a nice set of farm animals that offers a good selction of animals alongside a play mat, tree and fence parts. However, the sizing of the animals is rather comical, in that some of the animals are comically huge compared with others. The cockrel and chicken, for example, look asthough they might eat the smaller cow and there is also a monster sized rabbit that is far bigger than the pig and dog. That said, these are a good size for little people to hold and the colours and details are good. As with all the toys I am offered to review, I took this farm set in to the Nursery where I work and my 2 year olds didn’t bat an eyelid at the different sized animals – they just enjoyed them! The play mat is a nice addition, but I binned the fence and trees because they kept falling over and caused a bit of a distraction to the play. A good set that won’t break the bank with animal sizing that offers a giggle for grown ups!

I received this item from the Amazon Vine Program.The toy arrived in it’s retail box. It includes 12 animals, some rocks, palm trees and cages.This is a great toy to play with your child so they will be familiar with animals. Activities may also include pointing where the specific animal is.The animals look well made and are detailed too. However, it may cause confusion or questions from the little ones because some animals that are meant to be smaller than the others are actually bigger. Example, the chicken is way bigger than the pig.A mat is also included so my son positioned the animales on the mat based on where he thinks they should go. This also helps improve the child’s imagination.It costs £13.99 at the time of this review. This is great value for money and a great gift idea to 3 year olds that like farm animals.

Farm set with 12 animals, playmat and other accessories
I was really pleased to be offered this farm set for free to review as part of the Amazon Vine programme as I had been wanting a farm set to gift.This set arrives in a decorated cardboard box suitable for gifting. Inside the box, there is eight animals (cow, chicken, rabbit, dog, sheep, goat, llama/alpaca, goose, rooster, goose, pig, donkey and another goat), four pieces of fencing, six rocks (various sizes), two trees, and a rather odd ‘gate’ in a rockface. There is also a large fabric playmat with a farm scene but its not to scale with the plastic animals etc.To be honest, the plastic animals are not to scale either. For example, the bunny rabbit is as larger if not larger than the donkey! The actual animal figures are not premium quality but they are not badly modelled or coloured, and they feel relatively sturdy and as if they will put up with some rough handling by small children.When I gift this, I might package up the playmat with the animals and not use the other plastic items as most of them seem very flimsy and not as good as the animals.Priced at £12.99 at time of review, this does not seem unreasonable as these type of plastic figures are not usually much cheaper and these are a good size for small hands (if not to scale) and there are 12 of them.

Mutant animals
I only gave 4* for these becasue this may have made me laugh I have to remain neautral as not everyone will appreciate my sense of humour.The reason for my 4* insetad of 5* is the mutant animals, there is no size consitency especially with the mutant rabbit that is bigger than the dog, there are other mutant animnals but I wouldn’t want to ruin the surprise.The age ranges as stated in the product description appear to be a bit high between 3 and 6 years and up, I personally would say between 2 -4 years old but each child is different and will need supervising not that they can swallow the animals but to enjoy some imaginary play with them.The animals are a great quality, very sturdy and can withstand being thrown around, stood on (by accident) and stolen by the dog. The play mat again is very well made and as stated in the prodcut description hasn’t had any colour fade, despite being wiped over with anti bac spray every day and being covered in juice and sticky hands.Great value for money and guaranteed to make youy laugh, most importantly it allows your child to enjoy some old fashioned imaginative play.

The most random farm I have ever seen but the grandchildren loved it
Oh boy what a farm this is! The rabbit is the size of the cow, the hen is bigger than the dog, there is a pen with no gate and a sort of cave with a heavily barred gate with nowhere for it to go, and don’t get me going on the two palm trees. Oh my this has been a blast for my grandchildren they have loved every single thing about this farm. I am uncertain about the boulders too, well I hope they are boulders lol.All the animals are hard plastic, easy to pick up and hold and don’t stand too badly at all. I am I must confess smiling all the while I am writing this review. Everything about it is colourful bright and and inviting. I just had to give it top marks.
